Game Design - CCG

Invented by fellow mathematician Richard Garfield, "Magic: The Gathering" is a CCG that needs no introduction to anyone versed in Nerdology. "Magic" was the first card game I was happily addicted to through my more formative years, where I was luckily surrounded by legions of fellow "gifted" nerds at Regis High School. However, I did notice a plethora of issues with the game's design in terms of its steep learning curve to incoming players, a strategic set that is overly reliant upon Chance, and its rigidly static turn-based gameplay. So in 1999 when I was 19, I decided to address these issues in my own take on a Magic-style CCG. And here's the product. WARNING: Extremely dated material ahead.
